It’s simply the industry term for your web or email address – www.yourcompany.com and fred@yourcompany.com for example. It’s what people type on the Internet to go to your website or send you email. Even if you haven’t considered a website yet, you need to register your own domain name before someone else does.
Why can’t I just get a free domain name from my Internet Service Provider?
